Watched #Karmakhya with decent expectations, but it didn't quite work for me.

The concept about how superstition ruins lives is interesting, but the execution feels underwhelming. The screenplay moves slowly, the twists are predictable, and the suspense never reaches the level it promises.

If you're expecting a horror or supernatural thriller, you'll probably be disappointed. The film has a good message, but it lacks the gripping moments needed to keep you fully invested. A bold idea, but the storytelling could have been much sharper. overall one time watchable.. better to shift ott

Walked into #Karmakhya with absolutely no expectations... walked out genuinely impressed.

The biggest win for me was its message about the dangerous impact of superstition. Instead of relying on cheap horror or jump scares, the film keeps the focus on a thought-provoking idea wrapped in a mystery thriller.

The biggest surprise? Finding out it was directed by Jabardasth Adhire Abhi after the movie. That's a solid leap as a filmmaker, and he definitely deserves appreciation.

If we keep supporting films with fresh concepts like this, we'll get more meaningful thrillers instead of the same old formula.

At a time when comedy-horror is everywhere, it's refreshing to see a filmmaker attempt a serious mystery thriller with a meaningful concept. Definitely worth watching if you're into content-driven thrillers.

ఫస్ట్ అఫ్ అల్ కర్మాఖ్య సినిమా అయితే నాకు బాగా నచ్చింది. సినిమాలో మెయిన్ గా మూఢ నమ్మకాల కారణంగా మనుషుల జీవితాలు ఎలా నాశనం అవుతున్నాయనే పాయింట్‌ ను ఈ సినిమాలో ప్రధానంగా చెప్పడం జరిగింది. ఏదైతే నాకు బాగా నచ్చింది. 

అండ్ ఈ సినిమా ఎదో టైంపాస్ కి చూద్దామని ఏదో అలా వెళ్ళిపోయా. కానీ చూసాక సినిమా డైరెక్ట్ చేసింది జబర్దస్త్ అదిరే అభి అని తెలిసి షాకయ్యా. తనలో ఇంత టాలెంట్ ఉండడం మంచి విషయం. చాలా మంది కామెడీ హారర్ థ్రిల్లర్ కాన్సెప్ట్ లో సినిమాలు బాగుంటాయంటారు గాని, సీరియస్ థ్రిల్లర్ గా ఇలాంటి కాన్సెప్ట్ ఉన్న మూవీస్ నిజంగా ఈ జెనరేషన్ కి కావాలి. మూఢ నమ్మకాల మధ్యలో నలిగిపోయే వారికీ ఈ సినిమా చూస్తే కనువిప్పు కలగాలి.

జబర్దస్త్ ఫేమ్ అదిరే అభి ఇటీవల దర్శకుడిగా మారి సినిమాలు చేస్తున్నాడు. అస్సాంలోని ఫేమస్ టెంపుల్, శక్తి పీఠాల్లో ఒకటైన కామాఖ్య ఆలయంను లీడ్ గా తీసుకొని అదే టైటిల్ తో సినిమా ప్రకటించడంతో ఈ సినిమాపై అంచనాలు నెలకొన్నాయి. కానీ సెన్సార్ ఇబ్బందులతో సినిమా టైటిల్ రిలీజ్ కి ముందు కర్మాఖ్య అని మార్చారు. సినిమా సగం వరకు ఒకే ఇంట్లో తీశారు. ఒకే ఇంట్లో అన్ని సీన్స్ బాగా డిజైన్ చేసుకున్నారు. ఈ సినిమాని థియేటర్లో చూడొచ్చు.

కాకపోతే ఎడిటింగ్ లో మాత్రం కొన్ని సాగదీసిన సీన్స్ కట్ చేస్తే బెటర్. నిర్మాణ పరంగా ఈ సినిమాకు బాగానే ఖర్చుపెట్టారు. మొత్తంగా ‘కర్మాఖ్య’ చేతబడుల నేపథ్యంలో ఓ అమ్మాయి బలి నుంచి ఎలా తప్పించుకుంది అని ఆసక్తికరంగా తెరకెక్కించిన సినిమా. 

హారర్ చిత్రాలు, హారర్ కామెడీ చిత్రాలకు తెలుగులో కొదవలేదు. అదే తరహాలో కొంతకాలంగా తాంత్రిక పూజల నేపథ్యంలోనూ కొన్ని సినిమాలు వచ్చాయి. ఆ కోవలో నరబలిని బేస్ చేసుకుని వచ్చిన చిత్రాలూ ఉన్నాయి. ఈ కర్మాఖ్య కూడా అదే తరహా సినిమా. చనిపోయిన వ్యక్తులు తాంత్రిక పూజలతో తిరిగి బ్రతుకుతారనే పిచ్చి నమ్మకంతో కొందరు శవాన్ని దహనం చేయకుండా రోజుల తరబడి ఇంటిలోనే దాచిన సంఘటనలు మనం చూస్తూనే ఉన్నాం. అలాంటి ఓ ప్రయత్నం చేయాలనుకున్న కుటుంబానికి ఎలాంటి శాస్తి జరిగిందన్నది 'కర్మాఖ్య'లో చూపించారు.

అయితే సినిమాలో చాలా సన్నివేశాలూ ఏమంత ఆసక్తిని కలిగించవు. సినిమా కథంతా ఒక ఇంటి దగ్గర అక్కడక్కడే తిరగడంతో ప్రేక్షకులలో చిన్నపాటి అసహనం మొదలవుతుంది. కానీ చివరిలోని నరబలి ట్విస్ట్ ఎవ్వరూ ఊహించనిది. ఆ సన్నివేశంతో సినిమా గ్రాఫ్ అమాంతంగా పెరిగిపోతుంది. ఈ సినిమాకు 'కర్మాఖ్య' అనే టైటిల్ పెట్టడాన్ని ఆ సన్నివేశంతో జస్టిఫై చేసినట్టు అయ్యింది. చనిపోయిన వారు తిరిగి రారనే విషయాన్ని జీర్ణం చేసుకోవడం తప్ప మరో ఆప్షన్ లేదని దర్శకుడు చూపించినా... చివరలో సినిమాటిక్‌ ట్విస్ట్ తో శుభం కార్డు వేశారు. అయితే ఇలాంటి కాన్సెప్ట్ ఓరియంటెడ్‌ మూవీస్‌ ను థియేటర్లలో కంటే ఓటీటీలో చూసినప్పుడు బెటర్‌గా అనిపిస్తాయి

కామాఖ్య దేవి నేపథ్యం, మూఢనమ్మకాలు, సస్పెన్స్, క్రైమ్, ఎమోషన్స్‌ను మిళితం చేస్తూ ఈ మూవీ తెరకెక్కింది. ఈ సినిమాకు జబర్దస్త్ షో తో పాపులర్ అయిన అదిరే అభి దర్శకత్వం వహించారు.

ఓవరాల్ గా కర్మాఖ్య మూవీ ఒక మంచి కాన్సెప్ట్‌ తో వచ్చిన మిస్టరీ థ్రిల్లర్ అని చెప్పొచ్చు. మూఢనమ్మకాలపై దర్శకుడు చెప్పాలనుకున్న సందేశం ప్రశంసనీయమే.. కానీ కథనం మరింత ఆసక్తికరంగా, భావోద్వేగాలు మరింత బలంగా ఉండి ఉంటే సినిమా మరో స్థాయికి వెళ్లేదని టాక్ వినిపిస్తోంది.

జబర్దస్త్ తర్వాత దర్శకుడిగా తనకంటూ గుర్తింపు తెచ్చుకునే ప్రయత్నంలో ఉన్న అదిరే అభి తెరకెక్కించిన కర్మాఖ్య ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చింది. కామాఖ్య దేవత కాన్సెప్ట్, మూఢనమ్మకాల నేపథ్యంలో సాగే ఈ మిస్టరీ సస్పెన్స్ థ్రిల్లర్‌లో హర్రర్ లేదా సూపర్‌నేచురల్ అంశాలు పెద్దగా కనిపించవు.

ట్విస్టులు ఆశించిన స్థాయిలో ఇంపాక్ట్ ఇవ్వకపోయినా, ఇటీవల వచ్చిన థ్రిల్లర్‌లతో పోలిస్తే కొత్త తరహా థ్రిల్లింగ్ అనుభూతిని అందించే ప్రయత్నం చేసింది. భారీ అంచనాలు లేకుండా చూస్తే కర్మాఖ్య ఒక డీసెంట్ మిస్టరీ థ్రిల్లర్‌గా ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. ఫైనల్ గా కర్మాఖ్య ఒక ఎంగేజింగ్ థ్రిల్లర్. 

అదిరే అభి(అభినయ కృష్ణ) జబర్దస్త్ వదిలేసిన తర్వాత దర్శకుడిగా నిరూపించుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేస్తున్నాడు. అంతకు ముందు `చిరంజీవ` చిత్రంతో ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు. ఇప్పుడు `కర్మాఖ్య` అనే చిత్రాన్ని రూపొందించాడు. దీని అసలు పేరు `కామాఖ్య`. కానీ సెన్సార్‌, లీగల్ ఇబ్బందుల కారణంగా `కర్మాఖ్య`గా పేరు మార్చారు. దర్శకుడు అదిరే అభి ఈ మూవీని మిస్టీరియస్‌, సూపర్‌ నేచురల్‌ థ్రిల్లర్‌గా రూపొందించారు. కామాఖ్య దేవత శక్తిని ఆధారంగా చేసుకుని, సస్పెన్స్ థ్రిల్లర్‌గా మలిచారు. అయితే బయటకు ఇది హర్రర్‌ థ్రిల్లర్‌గా కనిపించినా, హర్రర్‌ అంశాలు లేవు. అదే సమయంలో సూపర్‌ నేచురల్‌ అంశాలు కూడా లేవు. 

ట్విస్ట్ లు కూడా పెద్దగా ఇంపాక్ట్ చూపించలేదు. కాకపోతే ఇటీవల వస్తోన్న థ్రిల్లర్‌ చిత్రాలతో పోల్చితే బెటర్‌ గానే ఉంది. కొత్తరకమైన థ్రిల్లింగ్‌ ఎక్స్ పీరియెన్స్ ని ఇచ్చే ప్రయత్నం చేశారని చెప్పొచ్చు. ఓవరాల్ గా చెప్పాలంటే సరికొత్త థ్రిల్లింగ్‌ ఎక్స్ పీరియెన్స్ ని అందించే మిస్టీరియల్‌ సస్పెన్స్ థ్రిల్లర్‌ `కర్మాఖ్య`. అంచనాలు లేకుండా చూస్తే ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. థ్రిల్‌ నిస్తుంది.
