'ప్రేమలు' తర్వాత మరోసారి స్వచ్ఛమైన వినోదం, సున్నితమైన భావోద్వేగాలతో 'బెత్లెహోమ్ కుటుంబ యూనిట్' అంటూ ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చారు దర్శకుడు గిరీష్ ఏడీ. 'బెత్లెహోమ్ కుటుంబ యూనిట్'లో కథ, స్క్రీన్ ప్లే, సన్నివేశాలు ఊహించడం పెద్ద కష్టమేమీ కాదు. అయితే... ప్రతి సన్నివేశం, క్యారెక్టర్ మనల్ని కథతో పాటు ట్రావెల్ చేసేలా చేస్తాయి. అందుకు కారణం... ఆయా సన్నివేశాలను గిరీష్ ఏడీ తీసిన విధానంతో పాటు నటీనటుల ప్రతిభ కూడా! కొన్ని వన్ లైనర్ పంచ్ డైలాగ్స్ గట్టిగా పేలాయి. ఫస్టాఫ్ అంతా క్యూట్, ఫన్ మూమెంట్స్‌తో వెళుతుంది. సెకండాఫ్‌లోనూ వినోదమే ఎక్కువ ఉంటుంది. ఎమోషనల్ సీన్స్ ఉన్నప్పటికీ... అటు వైపు ఎక్కువ వెళ్ళలేదు. 

అయితే హీరో లవ్ ఫెయిల్యూర్ గానీ, హీరోయిన్ కోసం పడిన తపనను గానీ ఎక్కువ చూపించలేదు. అందువల్ల, ప్రేమలో డెప్త్ తగ్గినట్టు అనిపిస్తుంది. ఆ లోటును కామెడీ కవర్ చేసింది. సినిమాలో నివిన్ పౌలి - మమితా బైజు నటనలో మెలోడ్రామా గానీ, ఓవర్ డోస్ గానీ లేవు. ప్రారంభం నుంచి ముగింపు వరకు స్వచ్ఛమైన వినోదం, సహజత్వానికి దగ్గరగా అనిపించే ప్రేమ, ఆహ్లాదకరమైన నటనతో 'బెత్లెహోమ్ కుటుంబ యూనిట్' మంచి అనుభూతి ఇస్తుంది. క్లీన్ అండ్ ఆర్గానిక్ రొమాంటిక్ కామెడీ ఇది. తొలకరి చినుకులా, ప్రేమలో పడిన తర్వాత వచ్చే ఫీలింగ్‌లా బావుంటుంది. డోంట్ మిస్ ఇట్.

ఎలాంటి అనవసర హడావిడి లేకుండా ఫన్‌, రొమాన్స్‌, చిన్నపాటి ఎమోషన్స్‌ను దర్శకుడు గిరీష్‌ చక్కగా బ్యాలెన్స్‌ చేశారు. ముఖ్యంగా స్క్రీన్‌ప్లే, క్లీన్‌ కామెడీ సినిమాకు ప్లస్‌ పాయింట్స్‌.

Overall, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, is definitely a worthy watch for the genuine fun it offers and an excellent first half. You can happily watch it and laugh out loud with your friends and family. It may not be as wholesome as ‘Premalu’, but it certainly is a breezy entertainer which let you have a smile on your face at most parts. However, a bit more care in giving emotional depth, would have made the film even better.

‘బెత్లెహామ్‌ కుటుంబ యూనిట్‌’ : నివిన్‌ పౌలి, మమితా బైజు ప్రధాన పాత్రల్లో నటించిన ఈ చిత్రం వినోదంతో పాటు లైట్‌ ఎమోషన్స్‌ను మేళవిస్తూ ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. దర్శకుడు గిరీష్‌ కథను చాలా సింపుల్‌ గా ఉంచి, కామెడీ, రొమాన్స్‌, ఎమోషనల్‌ మూమెంట్స్‌ను సహజంగా కథలోకి తీసుకొచ్చారు. ముఖ్యంగా స్క్రీన్‌ ప్లే సినిమాకు ప్రధాన బలం. అనవసరమైన సన్నివేశాలు, ఓవర్‌ ది టాప్‌ కామెడీకి వెళ్లకుండా.. కథకు అవసరమైనంత మేరకే ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్‌ను అందించారు.

నివిన్‌ పౌలి, మమితా బైజు మధ్య కెమిస్ట్రీ ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. ఇద్దరూ తమ పాత్రలను సహజంగా పోషించి సినిమాకు మంచి ఫీల్‌ను తీసుకొచ్చారు. సంగీత్‌ ప్రతాప్‌ తన కామెడీ టైమింగ్‌తో ప్రత్యేకంగా ఆకట్టుకుంటాడు. సహజమైన లొకేషన్స్‌, సింపుల్‌ మేకింగ్‌ సినిమాకు ఫ్రెష్‌ లుక్‌ను అందించాయి.

మొత్తంగా.. బలమైన కథ కంటే సహజమైన కథనం, మంచి కెమిస్ట్రీ, క్లీన్‌ కామెడీపై ఆధారపడిన లైట్‌ హార్ట్‌డ్‌ రొమాంటిక్‌ ఎంటర్‌టైనర్‌ ‘బెత్లెహామ్‌ కుటుంబ యూనిట్‌’. పెద్దగా అంచనాలు లేకుండా హాయిగా ఎంజాయ్‌ చేయాలనుకునే ప్రేక్షకులకు ఈ సినిమా మంచి ఎంపిక. చివరిగా బెత్లేహెం కుడుంబ యూనిట్ ఒక చిల్, టైం పాస్ ఎంటర్టైనర్. ఫన్ ఎమోషనల్ రోలర్ కోస్టర్ రైడ్... 

పెద్ద హడావిడి లేకుండా సింపుల్‌ కథ, పచ్చని పరిసరాల్లో తక్కువ బడ్జెట్‌తో సినిమాలు తీసి హిట్‌ కొట్టేస్తుంటారు మలయాళ మేకర్స్‌. అందుకే ఆ చిత్రాలకు టాలీవుడ్‌ లో అంత క్రేజ్‌. ఓటీటీల్లోనే కాకుండా థియేట్రికల్‌గా కూడా మాలీవుడ్‌ చిత్రాలకు చక్కని ఆదరణ లభిస్తుంది. తాజాగా వచ్చిన అలాంటి సింపుల్‌ సినిమానే బెత్లెహామ్‌ కుటుంబ యూనిట్‌. నివీన్‌ పౌలీ, మమితా బైజు జంటగా నటించిన ఈ మూవీ మంచి రెస్పాన్స్ అందుకుంది. ప్రేమలు తరహా లోనే దర్శకుడు గిరీష్‌ మరోసారి సింపుల్‌ కథ, ఫన్‌ ఎలిమెంట్స్‌ కి, చిన్నపాటి భావోద్వేగాలను మిళితం చేసి రొమాంటిక్‌ కామెడీ ఎంటర్‌టైనర్‌ గా ఈ చిత్రాన్ని మలిచారు.

A Gen-Z girl meets a 90s boy — and that contrast becomes the soul of this love story. Her playful chaos and his innocent charm create some genuinely fresh and enjoyable moments.

Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju make a lovely pair on screen. Their chemistry feels natural, and both performances stay grounded without trying too hard. The film also scores visually. No massive elevations. No unnecessary action. Just love, comedy, emotions and good vibes.

Final Verdict: Simple in scale, refreshing in feel.

బెత్లెహెం కుటుంబ యూనిట్ చూసిన తర్వాత నాకు అనిపించింది ఒక్కటే.. simple stories కూడా right wayలో చెబితే ఎంత cuteగా ఉంటాయో ఈ సినిమా చూపించింది. Gen-Z అమ్మాయి, 90s అబ్బాయి.. ఈ combination itself interestingగా అనిపిస్తుంది. అమ్మాయిలోని అల్లరి, అబ్బాయిలోని innocenceని చాలా naturally blend చేసిన సీన్స్ freshగా అనిపించాయి.

నివిన్ పౌలీ & మమిత జంట screen మీద చాలా naturalగా ఉంది. ఇద్దరి chemistry, performances సినిమాకు major plus. ఇక visuals అయితే Kerala beautyని చాలా beautifully capture చేశాయి. Production design, costumes అన్నీ simpleగా ఉన్నా storyకి perfectగా suit అయ్యాయి.

No unnecessary elevations, no over-the-top action.. just a feel-good love story with comedy & emotions.

Overall: Cute, refreshing & easy-going romantic entertainer.

 బెత్లెహెం కుటుంబ యూనిట్ (Bethlehem Kudumba Unit) సినిమా విషయానికి వస్తే.. గిరీష్, కిరణ్ కలిసి ఈ కథను ఎంతో వినోదాతక్మంగా, మనసుకి హత్తుకునేలా, ఓ ఫ్రెష్ ఫీలింగ్ కలిగించేలా రాసుకున్నాడు. జెన్ జీ అమ్మాయి.. 90స్ అబ్బాయిని జత కలిపి ఓ ప్రేమ కథను అల్లుకున్నారు. అమ్మాయిలోని అల్లరి తనం, అబ్బాయిలోని అమాయకత్వాన్ని జోడించి రాసుకున్న సీన్స్ కొత్తగా అనిపిస్తాయి. తెరపై నివిన్ పౌలీ, మమిత జంట బాగుంటుంది. ఇద్దరూ తమ తమ పాత్రలతో ప్రేక్షకుల్ని ఆకట్టుకుంటారు. పెద్ద పెద్ద ఎలివేషన్స్, దెబ్బకు వంద మందిని గాల్లోకి లేపేయడం, విపరీతమైన రక్తపాతం ఏమీ లేని ఓ సింపుల్ లవ్ అండ్ కామెడీగా ఈ సినిమా అందరినీ ఆకట్టుకునే అవకాశం ఉంటుంది.

ఇక సినిమాలో టెక్నికల్‌ గానూ చాలా వరకు ఓ పెయింటింగ్‌లా అనిపిస్తుంది. కేరళ అందాలు కనువిందుని చేస్తాయి. ప్రొడక్షన్ వాల్యూస్, ఆర్ట్ వర్క్, కాస్ట్యూమ్స్ ఇలా అన్నీ కూడా చాలా సింపుల్‌ గానే కనిపించినా ఎంతో ఎఫెక్టివ్‌ గా అనిపిస్తాయి. చివరగా.. బెత్లెహెమ్ కుటుంబ యూనిట్ అనే టైటిల్ చూసి.. ఇదేదో వెరైటీ సినిమా అనుకోకండి.. ఇది జెన్ జీ అమ్మాయి, 90స్ అబ్బాయి క్యూట్ ప్రేమ కథ.

#BethlehemKudumbaUnit A Fun Rom-Com That Keeps Things Simple and Entertaining!

Sensible and lighthearted take on an age-gap love story. First half is fun and filled with small moments that keep you smiling, while the second half maintains the same flow before dipping in the middle and starts to feel stretched out in the pre-climax with some drag and an out of place fight. However, the simple yet heartwarming climax brings it back together nicely.

Nivin Pauly plays the older role perfectly, while Mamitha once again steals the show. It relies on familiar rom com tropes and doesn’t offer anything particularly new, but remains entertaining throughout with a few heartwarming moments along the way. Girish AD delivers another enjoyable rom com after Premalu. Winner!!

Predictable and derivative, Romanchakam fails to breathe fresh life into its blend of romance, suspense, and humor. The screenplay runs on auto-pilot, offering zero surprises from start to finish.

For a film centered on love, the romance feels empty—crippled by weak lead dynamics and a complete lack of emotional depth. Rather than wrapping up cleanly, the climax descends into chaotic confusion, testing the audience's patience instead of engaging them.

Weak editing and flat dialogues further drag down the narrative. Ultimately, Romanchakam misses the mark across all fronts, offering a tedious cinematic experience.

Romanchakam is a thoroughly routine affair that rehashes familiar tropes without offering anything new. Attempting a blend of romance, suspense, and comedy, the film suffers from an utterly predictable screenplay that leaves no room for surprise.

Despite its romantic positioning, the core romance is virtually non-existent; weak lead chemistry and unconvincing writing prevent any real emotional connection.

The climax only deepens the flaw, replacing logical storytelling with sheer confusion and leaving viewers frustrated. Coupled with sluggish editing and lackluster dialogue, Romanchakam fails to deliver a meaningful impact, making for a dull and disappointing watch.
